Safety is secured, but Vitor Pereira can still achieve something this season that past Wolves managers have failed to do.
Wolves lost to Man City last time out, but they can enter the final three games of the season, knowing that their Premier League status has already been sealed ahead of next campaign.
Pereira, though, will no doubt still be wanting to end the season on a high, with winnable games still to come against the likes of Brighton, Crystal Palace and Brentford.
Given their strong form of late, the Molineux side will fancy their chances in all their fixtures.
There may however be one stumbling block for Wolves in their upcoming fixture against Brighton, with the history books potentially coming back to haunt them.
Wolves hoping to fix poor record against Brighton
Still within a shout for European football, Brighton will present a difficult task for Pereira’s side – a task made even more daunting by the history between the two sides.
That is because Wolves have endured a very poor record against the Seagulls over the years, only winning nine of their 45 matches versus the South Coast outfit.

This damning record has continued in recent years as well, with Julen Lopetegui and Gary O’Neil both failing to get the better of Brighton in the Premier League.

Pereira’s record-breaking start at Wolves could get even better if he manages to overcome recent history and secure a league win over the Seagulls.
Wolves team news vs Brighton
If Wolves do want to overcome history against Brighton, they may have to do so without one of their key players.
That is because Jorgen Strand Larsen missed the Man City clash due to a groin problem, and it is currently unknown whether he will be fit for Saturday. Strand Larsen’s impact was missed at the Etihad, and Wolves will hope their forward line can be boosted by the Norwegian’s return.
Fellow striker Sasa Kalajdzic recently returned to training, but it is highly unlikely we will see the Austrian grace the pitch before the end of the season.
Pereira recently hailed Mateus Mane, and he could hand the youngster his first senior minutes after being on the bench against the likes of Tottenham and Manchester United.
