LATEST FORECAST

Here’s WAVE News meteorologist Tawana Andrew with your forecast.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A mix of sun and clouds is in today’s forecast as highs return to the upper 70s and low 80s. Since we’re still somewhat under the influence of the area of low pressure, an isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible.

As a warm front approaches, scattered showers move into the region this evening, pushing north overnight. With the warm air in place, lows only fall into the 60s by tomorrow morning. Most of Thursday will be dry and very warm, with highs in the mid to upper 80s; some could even make a run at the first 90° reading of 2025.

An isolated shower and thunderstorm is possible.

After a quiet evening, showers and thunderstorms race toward the area late Thursday night into Friday morning. Some storms may be strong to severe. It will be a warm and muggy night; expect lows in the 60s and low 70s.

An ALERT DAY is in place for Thursday night through Saturday morning as one system brings multiple rounds of potentially strong to severe thunderstorms during this timeframe. Keep an eye on the WAVE Weather App for the latest on the severe threat.
